We sobbed and shook and wouldn't lookG
But only cried and criedF
And nen someone we couldn't jus'E
Tell who was cryin' same as usE

Our Stepmother Yes it was herH
Her arms around us allI
'Cause Tom slid down the bannisterH
And peeked in from the hallI
And we all love her too becauseE
She's purt nigh good as Mother wasE
