The Orchard Lands Of Long Ago Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDAA EEFGHHIIAA JJKKBBLLAA

The orchard lands of Long AgoA
O drowsy winds awake and blowA
The snowy blossoms back to meB
And all the buds that used to beB
Blow back along the grassy waysC
Of truant feet and lift the hazeC
Of happy summer from the treesD
That trail their tresses in the seasD
Of grain that float and overflowA
The orchard lands of Long AgoA
-
Blow back the melody that slipsE
In lazy laughter from the lipsE
That marvel much if any kissF
Is sweeter than the apple's isG
Blow back the twitter of the birdsH
The lisp the titter and the wordsH
Of merriment that found the shineI
Of summer time a glorious wineI
That drenched the leaves that loved it soA
In orchard lands of Long AgoA
-
O memory alight and singJ
Where rosy bellied pippins clingJ
And golden russets glint and gleamK
As in the old Arabian dreamK
The fruits of that enchanted treeB
The glad Aladdin robbed for meB
And drowsy winds awake and fanL
My blood as when it overranL
A heart ripe as the apples growA
In orchard lands of Long AgoA
