The Little Lady Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDBA AEFEGHA IJAJKJA LAMANAA

O The Little Lady's daintyA
As the picture in a bookB
And her hands are creamy whiterC
Than the water lilies lookB
Her laugh's the undrown'd musicD
Of the maddest meadow brookB
Yet all in vain I praise The Little LadyA
-
Her eyes are blue and dewyA
As the glimmering Summer dawnE
Her face is like the eglantineF
Before the dew is goneE
And were that honied mouth of hersG
A bee's to feast uponH
He'd be a bee bewildered Little LadyA
-
Her brow makes light look sallowI
And the sunshine I declareJ
Is but a yellow jealousyA
Awakened by her hairJ
For O the dazzling glint of itK
Nor sight nor soul can bearJ
So Love goes groping for The Little LadyA
-
And yet she's neither Nymph nor FayL
Nor yet of AngelkindA
She's but a racing school girl withM
Her hair blown out behindA
And tremblingly unbraided byN
The fingers of the WindA
As it wildly swoops upon The Little LadyA
