The Ancient Printerman Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCB DADAEA FG GHG AIAIAI JAJAKA

O Printerman of sallow faceA
And look of absent guileB
Is it the 'copy' on your 'case'A
That causes you to smileB
Or is it some old treasure scrapC
You call from Memory's fileB
-
I fain would guess its mysteryD
For often I can traceA
A fellow dreamer's historyD
Whene'er it haunts the faceA
Your fancy's running riotE
In a retrospective raceA
-
Ah Printerman you're strayingF
Afar from 'stick' and typeG
Your heart has 'gone a maying '-
And you taste old kisses ripeG
Again on lips that puckerH
At your old asthmatic pipeG
-
You are dreaming of old pleasuresA
That have faded from your viewI
And the music burdened measuresA
Of the laughs you listen toI
Are now but angel echoesA
O have I spoken trueI
-
The ancient Printer hintedJ
With a motion full of graceA
To where the words were printedJ
On a card above his caseA
'I am deaf and dumb I left himK
With a smile upon his faceA
