Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEAAFGAAHIJJAA

I thought the deacon liked me yitA
I warn't adzackly shore of itA
Fer mind ye time and time aginB
When jiners 'ud be comin' inC
I'd seed him shakin' hands as freeD
With all the sistern as with meD
But jurin' last Revival whereE
He called on me to lead in prayerE
An' kneeled there with me side by sideA
A whisper'n' 'he felt sanctifiedA
Jes' tetchin of my gyarment's hem 'F
That settled things as fur as themG
Thare other wimmin was concernedA
And well I know I must a turnedA
A dozen colors Flurried laH
No mortal sinner never sawI
A gladder widder than the oneJ
A kneelin' there and wonderun'J
Who'd pray' So glad upon my wordA
I railly could n't thank the LordA
