Honey Dripping From The Comb Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGHG IJIJ

How slight a thing may set one's fancy driftingA
Upon the dead sea of the Past A viewB
Sometimes an odor or a rooster liftingA
A far off 'OOH OOH OOH 'C
-
And suddenly we find ourselves astrayD
In some wood's pasture of the Long AgoE
Or idly dream again upon a dayD
Of rest we used to knowE
-
I bit an apple but a moment sinceF
A wilted apple that the worm had spurnedG
Yet hidden in the taste were happy hintsH
Of good old days returnedG
-
And so my heart like some enraptured luteI
Tinkles a tune so tender and completeJ
God's blessing must be resting on the fruitI
So bitter yet so sweetJ
