A Wrangdillion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD DDDDEFEF DADAGHGH

Dexery tethery down in the dikeA
Under the ooze and the slimeB
Nestles the wraith of a reticent GrykeA
Blubbering bubbles of rhymeB
Though the reeds touch him and tickle his teethC
Though the Graigroll and the CheestD
Pluck at the leaves of his laureate wreathC
Nothing affects him the leastD
-
He sinks to the dregs in the dead o' the nightD
And he shuffles the shadows aboutD
As he gathers the stars in a nest of delightD
And sets there and hatches them outD
The Zhederrill peers from his watery mineE
In scorn with the Will o' the wispF
As he twinkles his eyes in a whisper of shineE
That ends in a luminous lispF
-
The Morning is born like a baby of goldD
And it lies in a spasm of pinkA
And rallies the Cheest for the horrible coldD
He has dragged to the willowy brinkA
The Gryke blots his tears with a scrap of his griefG
And growls at the wary GraigrollH
As he twunkers a tune on a Tiljicum leafG
And hums like a telegraph poleH
