Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BAABCDDC EFEGEG

From the Spanish of PlacidoA
-
-
Enough of love Let break its every holdB
Ended my youthful folly for I knowA
That like the dazzling glister shedding snowA
Celia thou art beautiful but coldB
I do not find in thee that warmth which glowsC
Which all these dreary days my heart has soughtD
That warmth without which love is lifeless naughtD
More than a painted fruit a waxen roseC
-
Such love as thine scarce can it bear love's nameE
Deaf to the pleading notes of his sweet lyreF
A frank impulsive heart I wish to claimE
A heart that blindly follows its desireG
I wish to embrace a woman full of flameE
I want to kiss a woman made of fireG
