What The Snake Saw Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFBB

A little girl and a big ugly manA
Went down the road The girl was cryingB
And asking to go home but when she ranA
He hit her on the head and sent her flyingB
And called her a young imp and said he'd breakC
Her neck unless she went with him and thenD
He smacked her on the cheek I was a snakeC
At that time crawling through a robber's denD
And diamonds were sticking to my tongueE
That's the best dodge but when I saw the wayF
He beat the little girl I up and flungE
A stone at him My aim was bad that dayF
Because I hit the girl and she did singB
But he jumped round and cursed like anythingB
