The Turn Of The Road Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFGFHH

I was playing with my hoop along the roadA
Just where the bushes are when suddenlyB
There came a shout I ran away and stowedA
Myself beneath a bush and watched to seeB
What made the noise and then around the bendC
I saw a woman running She was oldD
And wrinkle faced and had big teeth The endC
Of her red shawl caught on a bush and rolledD
Right off her and her hair fell down Her faceE
Was awful white and both her eyes looked sickF
And she was talking queer 'O God of Grace 'G
Said she 'where is the child ' and flew back quickF
The way she came and screamed and shook her handsH
Maybe she was a witch from foreign landsH
