The Paps Of Dana (the Rocky Road To Dublin) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDDEFFGG HH

The mountains stand and stare aroundA
They are far too proud to speakB
Altho' they're rooted in the groundA
Up they go peak after peakB
Beyond the tallest tree and stillC
Soaring over house and hillC
Until you'd think they'd never stopD
Going up top over topD
Into the cloudsE
Still I markF
That a sparrow or a larkF
Flying just as high can singG
As if he'd not done anythingG
-
I think the mountains ought to beH
Taught a little modestyH
