Nancy Walsh Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADDC EFEFGHG IJKILKLL MLM

It is not on her gownA
She fears to treadB
It is her hairC
Which tumbles downA
And straysD
About her waysD
That she must careC
-
And she lives nigh this placeE
The dead would riseF
If they could see her faceE
The dead would riseF
Only to hear her singG
But death is blind and gives not ear nor eyeH
To anythingG
-
We would leave behindI
Both wife and childJ
And house and homeK
And wander blindI
And wander thusL
And ever roamK
If she would come to usL
In ErrisL
-
Softly she said to meM
Be patient till the night comesL
And I will go with theeM
