Mistress Quiet-eyes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBCB AAAACA AAAACA AAAADA

While I sit beside the windowA
I can hear the pigeons cooB
That the air is warm and blueB
And how well the young bird flewB
Then I fold my arms and scold the heartC
That thought the pigeons knewB
-
While I sit beside the windowA
I can watch the flowers growA
Till the seeds are ripe and blowA
To the fruitful earth belowA
Then I shut my eyes and tell my heartC
The flowers cannot knowA
-
While I sit beside the windowA
I am growing old and drearA
Does it matter what I hearA
What I see or what I fearA
I can fold my hands and hush my heartC
That is straining to a tearA
-
The earth is gay with leaf and flowerA
The fruit is ripe upon the treeA
The pigeons coo in the swinging bowerA
But I sit wearilyA
Watching a beggar woman nurseD
A baby on her kneeA
