Geoffrey Keating Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FBFG HCIC JKJK AAAA

O woman full of wilinessA
Although for love of me you pineB
Withhold your hand adventurousA
It holdeth nothing holding mineB
-
Look on my head how it is greyC
My body's weakness doth appearD
My blood is chill and thin my dayC
Is done and there is nothing hereE
-
Do not call me a foolish manF
Nor lean your lovely cheek to mineB
O slender witch our bodies canF
Not mingle now nor any timeG
-
So take your mouth from mine your handH
From mine ah take your lips awayC
Lest heat to will should ripen andI
All this be grave that had been gayC
-
It is this curl a silken nestJ
And this grey eye bright as the dewK
And this round lovely snow white breastJ
That draws desire in search of youK
-
I would do all for you meseemsA
But this tho' this were happinessA
I shall not mingle in your dreamsA
O woman full of wilinessA
