Donnybrook (the Rocky Road To Dublin) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BB AA CC DD EE FF

I saw the moon so broad and brightA
Sailing high on a frosty nightA
-
And the air swung far and far betweenB
The silver disc and the orb of greenB
-
While here and there a wisp of whiteA
Cloud film swam on the misty lightA
-
And crusted thickly on the skyC
High and higher and yet more highC
-
Were golden star points dusted throughD
The great wide silent vault of blueD
-
Then I said to me God is goodE
And the world is fair and where I stoodE
-
I knelt me down and bent my headF
And said my prayers and went to bedF
