A Visit From Abroad (the Adventures Of Seumas Beg) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

A speck went blowing up against the skyA
As little as a leaf then it drew nearB
And broadened It's a bird said IA
And fetched my bow and arrows It was queerB
It grew up from a speck into a blotC
And squattered past a cloud then it flew downD
All crumply and waggled such a lotC
I thought the thing would fall It was a brownD
Old carpet where a man was sitting snugE
Who when he reached the ground began to sewF
A big hole in the middle of the rugE
And kept on peeping everywhere to knowF
Who might be coming then he gave a twistG
And flew away I fired at him but missedG
