| Remains invisible in pure dry air | B |
| But shone into a turbid element | C |
| It throws distracting side gleams everywhere | B |

| Scatters its brightness at each random mote | F |
| And mars the lucid order of its vision | E |

| The purest meditation will appear | G |
| Faint or invisible to those who glance | H |
