I'll Never Love Thee More Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH CBCBIDID JKJLMDMD

My dear and only Love I prayA
That little world of theeB
Be govern'd by no other swayA
Than purest monarchyB
For if confusion have a partC
Which virtuous souls abhorD
And hold a synod in thine heartC
I'll never love thee moreD
-
Like Alexander I will reignE
And I will reign aloneF
My thoughts did evermore disdainE
A rival on my throneF
He either fears his fate too muchG
Or his deserts are smallH
That dares not put it to the touchG
To gain or lose it allH
-
And in the empire of thine heartC
Where I should solely beB
If others do pretend a partC
Or dare to vie with meB
Or if Committees thou erectI
And go on such a scoreD
I'll laugh and sing at thy neglectI
And never love thee moreD
-
But if thou wilt prove faithful thenJ
And constant of thy wordK
I'll make thee glorious by my penJ
And famous by my swordL
I'll serve thee in such noble waysM
Was never heard beforeD
I'll crown and deck thee all with baysM
And love thee more and moreD
