The Gentle Anarchist Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEFFFFFF AGAGHIJIFFKKF ALCLGMGMFFGGF

I am a gentle AnarchistA
I couldn't kick a dogB
Nor ever would for sport assistC
To pelt the helpless frogD
I'd shoot a Czar or wreck a trainE
Blow Parliament sky highF
But none could call me inhumaneE
I wouldn't hurt a flyF
I wouldn't hurt a flyF
And why indeed should IF
It has neither land nor pelfF
That I covet for myselfF
Then wherefore should I hurt a flyF
-
I am a gentle AnarchistA
I live on herbs and fruitsG
It don't become a communistA
To eat his fellow brutesG
I'd fire a town upset a stateH
Make countless widows weepI
Yet I am so compassionateJ
I wouldn't kill a sheepI
I wouldn't hurt a flyF
And why indeed should IF
If it doesn't interfereK
With my personal careerK
Why the dickens should I hurt a flyF
-
I'm such a gentle AnarchistA
I hate all hunting menL
I couldn't hook a fish or twistC
The neck of cock or henL
I'd level gaols let scoundrels looseG
Blow priests and churches upM
But oh my pity's so profuseG
I couldn't drown a pupM
I wouldn't hurt a flyF
And why indeed should IF
Unless that is to sayG
I found it in my wayG
And then it's all up with the flyF
