Had I But Known Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDAD EFEFGDGD

I loved thee Ah those vows of loveA
So fondly made so soon unmadeB
I trusted thee all men aboveA
Ah fatal trust so soon betrayedB
A dream that wore the face of truthC
Was what I loved The dream has flownD
All all I've lost faith hope and loveA
Had I but known Had I but knownD
-
Thou weepest Would that I could shedE
A tear for either joy or griefF
But from the heart grown cold and deadE
There springs no fountain of reliefF
Now all my life is tearless painG
My hope forgetfulness aloneD
And all my speech the one refrainG
Had I but known Had I but knownD
