Tear It Down Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIIJKLMLNOO

We find out the heart only by dismantling whatA
the heart knows By redefining the morningB
we find a morning that comes just after darknessC
We can break through marriage into marriageD
By insisting on love we spoil it get beyondE
affection and wade mouth deep into loveF
We must unlearn the constellations to see the starsG
But going back toward childhood will not helpH
The village is not better than PittsburghI
Only Pittsburgh is more than PittsburghI
Rome is better than Rome in the same way the soundJ
of raccoon tongues licking the inside wallsK
of the garbage tub is more than the stirL
of them in the muck of the garbage Love is notM
enough We die and are put into the earth foreverL
We should insist while there is still time We mustN
eat through the wildness of her sweet body alreadyO
in our bed to reach the body within that bodyO
