Summer At Blue Creek, North Carolina Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMFH

There was no water at my grandfather'sA
when I was a kid and would go for itB
with two zinc buckets Down the pathC
past the cow by the foundation whereD
the fine people's house was beforeE
they arranged to have it burned downF
To the neighbor's cool well WouldG
come back with pails too heavyH
so my mouth pulled out of shapeI
I see myself but from the outsideJ
I keep trying to feel who I wasK
and cannot Hear clearly the soundL
the bucket made hitting the sidesM
of the stone well going downF
but never the sound of meH
