South Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFGHIJK

In the small towns along the riverA
nothing happens day after long dayB
Summer weeks stalled foreverA
and long marriages always the sameC
Lives with only emergencies birthsD
and fishing for excitement Then a shipE
comes out of the mist Or comes aroundF
the bend carefully one morningG
in the rain past the pines and shrubsH
Arrives on a hot fragrant nightI
grandly all lit up Gone two daysJ
later leaving fury in its wakeK
