The Immortals Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIJ KLMN

I killed them but they would not dieA
Yea all the day and all the nightB
For them I could not rest or sleepC
Nor guard from them nor hide in flightB
-
Then in my agony I turnedD
And made my hands red in their goreE
In vain for faster than I slewF
They rose more cruel than beforeE
-
I killed and killed with slaughter madG
I killed till all my strength was goneH
And still they rose to torture meI
For Devils only die in funJ
-
I used to think the Devil hidK
In women s smiles and wine s carouseL
I called him Satan BalzebubM
But now I call him dirty louseN
