The Female God Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH CGGG IGJK LGML GCNN

We curl into your eyesA
They drink our files and have never drainedB
In the fierce forest of your hairC
Our desires beat blindly for their treasureD
-
In your eyes' subtle pitE
Far down glimmer our soulsF
And your hair like massive forest treesG
Shadows our pulses overtired and dumbH
-
Like a candle lost in an electric glareC
Our spirits tread your eyes' infinitiesG
In the wrecking waves of your tumultuous locksG
Do you not hear the moaning of our pulsesG
-
Queen Goddess AnimalI
In sleep do your dreams battle with our soulsG
When your hair is spread like a lover on the pillowJ
Do not our jealous pulses wake betweenK
-
You have dethroned the ancient GodL
You have usurped his Sabbath his common daysG
Yea every moment is delivered to youM
Our Temple our Eternal our one GodL
-
Our souls have passed into your eyesG
Our days into your hairC
And you our rose deaf prison are very pleased with the worldN
Your worldN
