Louse Hunting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGDH IIJAKLMNONAJPIQI

Nudes stark and glisteningA
Yelling in lurid glee Grinning facesB
And raging limbsC
Whirl over the floor one fireD
For a shirt verminously busyE
Yon soldier tore from his throat with oathsF
Godhead might shrink at but not the liceG
And soon the shirt was aflareD
Over the candle he'd lit while we layH
-
Then we all sprang up and striptI
To hunt the verminous broodI
Soon like a demons' pantomineJ
The place was ragingA
See the silhouettes agapeK
See the glibbering shadowsL
Mixed with the battled arms on the wallM
See gargantuan hooked fingersN
Pluck in supreme fleshO
To smutch supreme littlenessN
See the merry limbs in hot Highland flingA
Because some wizard verminJ
Charmed from the quiet this revelP
When our ears were half lulledI
By the dark musicQ
Blown from Sleep's trumpetI
