Home-thoughts From France Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHGH

Wan fragile faces of joyA
Pitiful mouths that striveB
To light with smiles the placeC
We dream we walk aliveB
-
To you I stretch my handsD
Hands shut in pitiless tranceE
In a land of ruin and woeF
The desolate land of FranceE
-
Dear faces startled and shakenG
Out of wild dust and soundsH
You yearn to me lure and saddenG
My heart with futile boundsH
