Hearts First Word. I. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH IJIJABAB

To sweeten a swift minute soA
With such rare fragrance of sweet speechB
And make the after hours goA
In a blank yearning each on eachB
To drain the springs till they be dryC
And then in anguish thirst for drinkD
So but to glimpse her robe thirst IC
And my soul hungers and I sinkD
-
There is no word that we have saidE
Whereby the lips and heart arc fireF
No look the linked glances readE
That held the springs of deep desireF
And yet the sounds her glad lips gaveG
Are on my soul vibrating stillH
Her eyes that swept me as a waveG
Shine my soul's worship to fulfilH
-
Her hair her eyes her throat and chinI
Sweet hair sweet eyes sweet throat so sweetJ
So fair because the ways of sinI
Have never known her perfect feetJ
By what far ways and marvellousA
May I such lovely heaven reachB
What dread dark seas and perilousA
Lie 'twist love's silence and love's speechB
