Creation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DEEFGFHIIJK LM NOPP QQRRSSTUVWUVXXYYZZA2 A2

As the pregnant womb of nightA
Thrills with imprisoned lightA
Misty nebulous bornB
Growing deeper into her mornB
So man with no sudden strideC
Bloomed into prideC
-
In the womb of the All spiritD
The universe lay the willE
Blind an atom lay stillE
The pulse of matterF
Obeyed in aweG
And strove to flatterF
The rhythmic lawH
But the will grew nature fearedI
And cast off the child she rearedI
Now her rival instinct ledJ
With her own powers impregnatedK
-
Brain and heart blood fervid flowersL
Creation is each act of yoursM
-
Your roots are God the pauseless causeN
But your boughs sway to self windy lawsO
Perception is no dreamy birthP
And magnifies transfigured earthP
-
With each new light our eyes receiveQ
A larger power to perceiveQ
If we could unveil our eyesR
Become as wise as the All wiseR
No love would be no mysteryS
Love and joy dwell in infinityS
Love begets love reaching highestT
We find a higher still unseenU
From where we stood to reach the firstV
Moses must die to live in ChristW
The seed be buried to live to greenU
Perfection must begin from worstV
Christ perceives a larger reachless loveX
More full and grows to reach thereofX
The green plant yearns for its yellow fruitY
Perfection always is a rootY
And joy a motion that cloth feedZ
Itself on light of its own speedZ
And round its radiant circle runsA2
Creating and devouring sunsA2
