Poppies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DBEB

The gay day is ablaze And in the languid grassA
The poppies patches burn like impotent desireB
Like lips that can allure or deathly poison usC
Or wings of butterfly wide spread and red like fireB
-
The gay day is ablaze But old and empty standsD
This garden long ago lost of the feasts and pleasureB
And poppies weathered like old women s headsE
Are warmly overspread by heaven chalice azureB
