Bow And Strings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKL MNOP QORS NTUV

What heavy dark deliriumA
What dim and moonlit heightsB
To touch the violin for yearsC
And not to know the strings by lightD
-
Who needs us now And who lit upE
Two hollow melancholy facesF
And suddenly the bow feltG
Someone take them up unite themH
-
How long it's been Amidst this gloomI
Just tell me this are you still the sameJ
The strings caressed the bowK
Rang out caressed it slightly tremblingL
-
Is it not true that we will never moreM
Be parted It's enoughN
Yes replied the violinO
But pain was throbbing in her heartP
-
The bow discerned it and grew muteQ
The echo still continued in the violinO
What was a torture to them bothR
The people heard as musicS
-
But the violinist didn't snuffN
The candles out 'til dawn The strings sang onT
The sun found them worn outU
On the black velvet of their bedV
