After The Concert Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGHI JKLJ

The blackened skies have reached the garden walkA
Yet my poor heart tonight cannot be not the restlessB
The lights that have been failed the lost of sounds talkA
Are they the remnants of the dream in sadnessB
-
Oh how sad it was the satin of her dressC
Her breast was very white among the straps black fairD
How sorry I was then to see her eyes distressedE
Her hands in snowy gloves resigned as to a prayerD
-
And how much her soul was mercilessly dispersedF
Among the tearless cold hearted and unsettledG
Like sounds bred in silence were there spelledH
The starry sounds lilac bright and gentleI
-
Like at an anguish s flesh from broken a laceJ
In dazzling light of moon with gentleness and fireK
Roll dawn amethysts into the dewy mireL
And die without traceJ
