A City Of Silence - A Girl Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EF GHI JEK LM NO PEQR ISTU DVF GWX A

She is the girl who was made to wear silence on her skinA
With misery pushed down her throatB
By men of famished lipsC
who know how to knot fear on bodies of their preyD
-
Like a lost smoke finding its way to a room in the firesE
She's lost with no place to call a homeF
-
They took her laid her between corridors of shameG
On a eve too hot for the rainH
In their eyes she saw a city where stigma is clothed in regalia of dignityI
-
Men who hid their faces in pages of the windJ
Men of darkened desiresE
They tore her dress not to pieces but from top to bottom her dignity they crackedK
-
They asked her not to cry she obligedL
As they searched for love in the city between her thighs they were sixM
-
She is now a lane no one wants to treadN
On her voice you will find a scar bigger than her dreamO
-
They stole her innocence and left her to find solaceP
In the consolation of onlookersE
She is long lost but still trying to find her way back to herselfQ
Maybe she would maybe notR
-
But if you happen to find her before meI
Remember to tell her not to hold on to the griefS
Tell her how to be strongT
To cry out the tears for in them the world may find a way to hunt down her fearsU
-
And in her lonely sighs some little girl like her may find a wayD
back to their dignity that wandered offV
seeking a place to call a homeF
-
I don't know the girl's nameG
But I hope this poem finds herW
And in them I hope she finds courage in the pages of these wordsX
-
The girl who was made to wear silence on her skinA
