In the glaciation of the sun, and the massacre of the stars,
When the little hope
Was ruptured into pieces
Behind the black cloud,
You got up,
Angry,
Alone,
And With a fiery spirit shouted:
"The people of my city want some light."


13 years in prison,
Only for a sentence?
For 13 years,
The black clouds surrounded your body,
And after your death
No one came to your tomb,
Except,
A scorched little girl from Hiroshima,
For whom you had read a poem.
You were both burned,
You in prison,
And she in the fire of the bomb.

The little girl,
Said incessantly :
Nazim, wake up!
A man around there said immediately :
My daughter,
The poet of freedom will never die,
Nazim lives,
In the sound of the burnt children like yourself,
In the hands of labor children like your friends,
In the tears for the poor men like your people,
Nazim has a home in the hearts of all these people.
Nazim never dies,
Even if his name, is written on this piece of rock.

Find him in prison,
In the cry of the convicts,
Beside the gallows,
And in the poetry, of the teachers of your land.

Nazim has no place here.
Every morning,
He goes among the people,
They shout by his voice,
And your enemies are, afraid of hearing his name.

Every night,
Nazim becomes a star,
Goes to the sky,
Splashes light on the dark alleys,
And shows the way of freedom to the people,
Even if this time,
They make a prison around his tomb.

Nazim never dies.
Nazim is a bird,
Everywhere in this world
If you say his name
He comes to your home,
Reads another poem for you,
Makes your lips laugh ,
And fills your heart,
with tremendous hope,
Even if your body is scorched like this.
