The Brook And Its Children Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDD EFGHIAJKLM

O brook running down your mossy wayA
I hear only your voiceB
And the murmuring fir treesC
Where are your childrenD
Where are the magic stones your childrenD
-
The brook answered me sweetlyE
I left them on the AlpF
In steep fieldsG
They were trying to hold me backH
To keep me from this shady path of happinessI
But I went onward day by dayA
Until they got used to seeing me passJ
Now they stand there in an enchantmentK
On the mountain sideL
While I travel fields of elm and poplarM
