Sunset Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIAJC BKL

Once upon a time at evening lightA
A little girl was sadB
There was a color in the skyC
A color she knew in her dreamful heartD
And wanted to keepE
She held out her armsF
Long longG
And saw it flow away on the windH
When it was goneI
She did not love the moonlightA
Or care for the starsJ
She had seen the rose in the skyC
-
Sometimes I am sadB
Because I have a thoughtK
Of this little girlL
