Little Papoose Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAABC DEFGHFAI

Little papooseA
swung high in the branchesA
Hears a song of birds stars cloudsA
Small nests of birdsA
Small buds of flowersA
But he is thinking of his mother with dark hairB
Like her horse's maneC
-
Fair clouds nod to himD
Where he swings in the treeE
But he is thinking of his fatherF
Dark and glistening and wonderfulG
Of his father with a voice like ice and velvetH
And tones of falling waterF
Of his father who shoutsA
Like a stormI
