[month Of] May Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBC DEDFDG

This is the laughing eyed amongst them allA
My lady's month A season of young thingsB
She rules the light with harmony and bringsB
The year's first green upon the beeches tallA
How often where long creepers wind and fallA
Through the deep woods in noonday wanderingsB
I ve heard the month when she to echo singsB
I've heard the month make merry madrigalC
-
How often bosomed in the breathing strongD
Of mosses and young flowerets have I lainE
And watched the clouds and caught the sheltered songD
Which it were more than life to hear againF
Of those small birds that pipe it all day longD
Not far from Marly by the memoried SeineG
