[month Of] December Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAACCA DEDEDE

Hoar Time about the house betakes him slowA
Seeking an entry for his wearinessB
And in that dreadful company distressC
And the sad night with silent footsteps goA
On my poor fire the brands are scarce aglowA
And in the woods without what memories pressC
Where waning in the trees from less to lessC
Mysterious bangs the hom d moon and lowA
-
For now December full of aged careD
Comes in upon the yea and weakly grievesE
Mumbling his lost desires and his despairD
And with mad trembling hand still interweavesE
The dank sear flower stalks tangled in his hairD
While round about him whirl the rotten leavesE
