Without You Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBD EFGHIJKLMDI ANCBO A

My Pillow gazes upon me at nightA
Empty as a gravestoneB
I never thought it would be so bitterC
To be aloneB
Not to lie down asleep in your hairD
-
I lie alone in a silent houseE
The hanging lamp darkenedF
And gently stretch out my handsG
To gather in yoursH
And softly press my warm mouthI
Toward you and kiss myself exhausted and weakJ
Then suddenly I'm awakeK
And all around me the cold night grows stillL
The star in the window shines clearlyM
Where is your blond hairD
Where your sweet mouthI
-
Now I drink pain in every delightA
And poison in every wineN
I never knew it would be so bitterC
To be aloneB
Alone without youO
-
