Inscription Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCDECFGHF

For Graves at Pea Ridge ArkansasA
-
-
Let none misgive we died amissB
When here we strove in furious fightC
Furious it was nathless was thisB
Better than tranquil plightC
And tame surrender of the CauseD
Hallowed by hearts and by the lawsE
We here who warred for Man and RightC
The choice of warring never laid with usF
There we were ruled by the traitor's choiceG
Nor long we stood to trim and poiseH
But marched and fell victoriousF
