The Nature Of Love. (from The Italian) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEEFGFGHIHIAA

To noble heart Love doth for shelter flyA
As seeks the bird the forest's leafy shadeB
Love was not felt till noble heart beat highA
Nor before love the noble heart was madeB
Soon as the sun's broad flameC
Was formed so soon the clear light filled the airD
Yet was not till he cameC
So love springs up in noble breasts and thereD
Has its appointed spaceE
As heat in the bright flames finds its allotted placeE
Kindles in noble heart the fire of loveF
As hidden virtue in the precious stoneG
This virtue comes not from the stars aboveF
Till round it the ennobling sun has shoneG
But when his powerful blazeH
Has drawn forth what was vile the stars impartI
Strange virtue in their raysH
And thus when Nature doth create the heartI
Noble and pure and highA
Like virtue from the star love comes from woman's eyeA
