The Brook And The Wave Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB ADED FGHG

The brooklet came from the mountainA
As sang the bard of oldB
Running with feet of silverC
Over the sands of goldB
-
Far away in the briny oceanA
There rolled a turbulent waveD
Now singing along the sea beachE
Now howling along the caveD
-
And the brooklet has found the billowF
Though they flowed so far apartG
And has filled with its freshness and sweetnessH
That turbulent bitter heartG
