Fragment - August 18, 1847 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEFGHIJKLMN

O faithful indefatigable tidesA
That evermore upon God's errands goB
Now seaward bearing tidings of the landC
Now landward bearing tidings of the seaD
And filling every frith and estuaryD
Each arm of the great sea each little creekE
Each thread and filament of water coursesF
Full with your ministration of delightG
Under the rafters of this wooden bridgeH
I see you come and go sometimes in hasteI
To reach your journey's end which being doneJ
With feet unrested ye return againK
And recommence the never ending taskL
Patient whatever burdens ye may bearM
And fretted only by the impeding rocksN
