Aftermath Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAAAB CCDEEED

When the summer fields are mownA
When the birds are fledged and flownA
And the dry leaves strew the pathB
With the falling of the snowA
With the cawing of the crowA
Once again the fields we mowA
And gather in the aftermathB
-
Not the sweet new grass with flowersC
Is this harvesting of oursC
Not the upland clover bloomD
But the rowan mixed with weedsE
Tangled tufts from marsh and meadsE
Where the poppy drops its seedsE
In the silence and the gloomD
