Joy of my life while left me hereA
And still my loveB
How in thy absence thou dost steerC
Me from aboveB
A life well ledD
This truth commendsE
With quick or deadD
It never endsE
-
Stars are of mighty use the nightF
Is dark and longG
The road foul and where one goes rightF
Six may go wrongG
One twinkling rayH
Shot o'er some cloudI
May clear much awayH
And guide a crowdI
-
God's saints are shining lights who staysJ
Here long must passK
O'er dark hills swift streams and steep waysJ
As smooth as glassK
But these all nightF
Like candles shedD
Their beams and lightF
Us into bedD
-
They are indeed our pillar firesL
Seen as we goM
They are that city's shining spiresN
We travel toO
A swordlike gleamP
Kept man for sinQ
FirstR
outS
this beamP
Will guide themT
