God said I am tired of kings EMERSONA
-
God said I am tired of kingsB
But that was a long while agoC
And meantime man said NoC
I like their looks in their robes and ringsB
So he crowned a few moreD
And they went on playing the game as beforeD
Fighting and spoiling thingsB
-
Man said I am tired of kingsB
Sons of the robber chiefs of yoreD
They make me pay for their lust and their warD
I am the puppet they pull the stringsB
The blood of my heart is the wine they drinkE
I will govern myself for awhile I thinkE
And see what that bringsB
-
Then God who made the first remarkF
Smiled in the darkF
