Portrait And Reality Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCDCD

If on the closed curtain of my sightA
My fancy paints thy portrait far awayB
I see thee still the same by night or dayB
Crossing the crowded street or moving brightA
'Mid festal throngs or reading by the lightA
Of shaded lamp some friendly poet's layB
Or shepherding the children at their playB
The same sweet self and my unchanged delightA
-
But when I see thee near I recognizeC
In every dear familiar way some strangeD
Perfection and behold in April guiseC
The magic of thy beauty that doth rangeD
Through many moods with infinite surpriseC
Never the same and sweeter with each changeD
