Keats Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDECDE

The melancholy gift Aurora gainedA
From Jove that her sad lover should not seeB
The face of death no goddess asked for theeB
My Keats But when the crimson blood drop stainedA
Thy pillow thou didst read the fate ordainedA
Brief life wild love a flight of poesyB
And then a shadow fell on ItalyB
Thy star went down before its brightness wanedA
-
Yet thou hast won the gift Tithonus missedC
Never to feel the pain of growing oldD
Nor lose the blissful sight of beauty's truthE
But with the ardent lips that music kissedC
To breathe thy song and ere thy heart grew coldD
Become the Poet of Immortal YouthE
