Doors Of Daring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GBHB

The mountains that enfold the valeA
With walls of granite steep and highB
Invite the fearless foot to scaleA
Their stairway toward the skyB
-
The restless deep dividing seaC
That flows and foams from shore to shoreD
Calls to its sunburned chivalryC
Push out set sail exploreD
-
And all the bars at which we fretE
That seem to prison and controlF
Are but the doors of daring setE
Ajar before the soulF
-
Say not Too poor but freely giveG
Sigh not Too weak but boldly tryB
You never can begin to liveH
Until you dare to dieB
